Alter Mundi

"Alter Mundi: a meeting of cultures and peoples" is an intercultural festivity which has as its aim the enhancing of knowledge and exchange among the various cultures which inhabit the province of Prato.
During the Alter Mundi days events range from theatre to music and dance with artists from all over the world. Cultural meetings and debates provide an opportunity for citizens to examine important themes such as school, health, the condition of women etc.
Not to be missed: ethnic dinners – opportunities for seeing and tasting typical dishes from other countries.
"Alter Mundi: a meeting of cultures and peoples" is a project created by the Province of Prato, set up in 2004 together with 7 municipalities in the province (Prato, Montemurlo, Carmignano, Montemurlo, Cantagallo, Vaiano, Vernio), migrant communities and service organisations.
